CARDHOLDER AGREEMENT          PRIVACY POLICY 

 

1. A cardholder may receive an unlimited number of Refer-a-Friend rewards while the program is available. No reward will be credited to either party if referred individual had any NetSpend Card that was used for a value load, purchase, cash withdrawal or incurred a Balance Inquiry Fee at any time during the 180 calendar days before the day the $40 load requirement is fully met. Cardholder-to-cardholder transfers do not count toward the $40 load requirement. Allow 2 business days for $20 credit to appear on the Card Account. If a cardholder accrues $600 or more in Refer-a-Friend rewards in a calendar year, NetSpend will mail cardholder an IRS Form 1099-MISC reflecting the total Refer-a-Friend rewards for such calendar year. Cardholder acknowledges that by referring a friend through this program, the cardholder is releasing non-public information. Referred person acknowledges that payment of the referral may result in the cardholder's knowledge of referred person establishing an account with us. MetaBank® is not affiliated in any way with the Refer-a-Friend rewards program and does not endorse or sponsor this program.

 

2. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OPENING A NEW CARD ACCOUNT: To help the federal government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, the USA PATRIOT Act requires all financial institutions and their third-party service providers to obtain, verify, and record Information that Identifies each person who opens a card Account. What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, street address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see a copy of your driver's license or other identifying documents. In accordance with federal regulations, until it is activated and registered, a prepaid card is subject to initial load limitations, may not be used for ATM use, international transactions or account-to-account transfers, or be reloaded. Residents of the State of Vermont are ineligible to open a Card Account.

 

3. There are costs associated with the use and reloading of this Card Account. See the Cardholder Agreement ("Agreement") and the online Account Center ("Account Center") for Information about the costs, terms, and conditions.

 

4. Faster access to funds is based on comparison of NetSpend's immediate availability policy versus the typical banking practice of only posting funds after settlement. Direct deposit and faster direct deposit capability are subject to payor's support of the feature and timing of the payor's funding. Check with your payor to determine when direct deposit will start. No fee for direct deposit services. However, there may be a cost to reload card at retail locations or via bank transfer. See the Agreement and the Account Center for details.
